'Miri' is finally here

Well, she's finally here. 'Miri' was born at 2:41 (CST) here in Madison. As shown in the picture below, she came into this mad world weighing 8 pounds and 14.4 ounces. She was 20". As far as we can tell, she doesn't look like either of us. Although, she seems to have my long tongue (let's hope that's all she inherits from me!).

I'm not sure what other details are important. As you can imagine, we're both beat. I'll keep posting as we can, but it's bloody difficult to get the time to sort through videos and pics and edit them for the blog: there's always something that needs tending to.

Hang tight and be patient. If we haven't phoned you it's because we're beat (or it's simply because I really dislike talking on the phone...you can only be enthusiastic re-telling the birth story so many times!). Plus, we're running low on Tracfone minutes (it costs 2 or 3 times more per minute when calls are long distance!).
